Under the Divisional Secretariat Inspection Program, the Homagama Divisional Secretariat was inspected today (04) by the Secretary to the Ministry of Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Local Government, Mr. S. Aloka Bandara, with the participation of the Colombo District Secretary/Government Agent, Mr. Ginige Prasanna Janaka Kumara.
The Secretary to the Ministry of Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Local Government, Mr. S. Aloka Bandara and the Colombo District Secretary/Government Agent, Mr. Ginige Prasanna Janaka Kumara inspected all the divisions of the Divisional Secretariat and the staff officers inspected the functions of each division separately.
Accordingly, the Office's Institutions Division is headed by Mrs. M.A.S. Kanchana Gunawardena (Additional District Secretary Administration) and Mrs. Asanka Kottage (Administrative Officer), Lands Division is headed by Mr. Sampath Idamgodage (Divisional Secretary Kaduwela), Accounts Division is headed by Mr. Sanjeewa Weeratunga (Accountant Moratuwa Divisional Secretary's Office) and Mrs. Madhusanka Fernando (Accountant Ratmalana Divisional Secretary's Office), Samurdhi Division is headed by Mr. Ashoka Kumara (District Samurdhi Director), Planning Division is headed by Mr. Sujith Bandara (Director Planning) and Mrs. Gayathri Bopitiya (Assistant Director Planning), Social Services Division is headed by Mrs. Madusha R. Weerakkody (Divisional Secretary Sitawaka), Field Officer Division and Identity Card Division is headed by Mrs. Dilrukshi Walpola (Divisional Secretary Ratmalana, Pension Division Mr. D. M. Gunasena (Chief Internal Auditor), Computer System Inspection and Registrar Division Mrs. Madhusha R. Weerakkody (Divisional Secretary Seethawaka), Mr. Amila Suresh Parakrama (Assistant District Secretary) and Miss Amani Wickramanayake (Information Technology Officer), Vehicle License Division Mrs. Isanka Udawatte (Divisional Secretary Kesbewa) conducted inspections of the files and premises of each division.
Here, the Secretary to the Ministry of Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Local Government Mr. S. Aloka Bandara and the Colombo District Secretary/Government Agent Mr. Ginige Prasanna Janaka Kumara conducted inspections of all divisions of the Divisional Secretariat Office and addressed the officers of the office and gave them the necessary instructions and guidance to carry out their duties. Additional District Secretary Kanchana Gunawardena discussed with the Heads of Divisions of the Office including the Homagama Divisional Secretary B.A.D. Chinthaka on how to improve the efficiency of each division based on the observations made by the officers.
The event was attended by the Head of the Engineering Division of the Ministry of Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Local Government, Assistant Divisional Secretary Chamil D. Thenuwara, Deputy Director (Planning) Nilanka S. Sampath, Accountant Pubudu R. Kuruppuachchige and all the officers of the office.
