A pre-retirement program under the theme “Pre-Retirement Preparation And Successful Life” was held at the Colombo District Secretariat today (07) chaired by the Assistant District Secretary of Colombo, Mr. Amila S. Parakrama.

The first lecture under the theme of a planned elderly life was delivered by Ms. Deepthi Niroshika, Training Officer. Lecture under the theme of the physical and mental well-being of elderly people was delivered by Mr. Kulanu Jayathilaka, Community Health Officer of the Colombo Divisional Secretariat Division. The lecture on preparing a personal file was delivered by Ms. Harshi Pushpamala, Pension Officer.

This program, jointly conducted by the National Elders Secretariat and the Colombo District Secretariat, was organized by the District Elders Promotion Officer, Mrs. Chithrani Rankoth, with the participation of 84 government officials who are about to retire from the government service.
